Description

Groups in Madrid is a 2-day workshop devoted to recent developments in asymptotic, combinatorial and geometric group theory. There is no registration fee to participate. Unfortunately, we won't be able to provide any finantial support or accomodation. Please, do not hesitate to contact with one of the organizers in case you have any questions.

Schedule

The talks will start on Wednesday morning (November 30) and end before lunch time on Thursday (December 1), at Aula GRIS 2 in the ICMAT.
There will be a social dinner on Wednesday, at the restaurant El 26 de Libertad, located in calle Libertad 26. Here is a link to a map.

Venue

The workshop will be held at the ICMAT (Institute for the Mathematical Sciences), a joint research institute of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and three Madrid universities. Talks will be in the Aula GRIS 2.

The ICMAT is located in the Campus Cantoblanco of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), 15 km North of downtown Madrid. The campus is connected by public transport to downtown Madrid. See here more infomation about to how to arrive.
