Programa del Curso
1. Symplectic spaces: complex and symplectic structures, isotropic and Lagrangian subspaces, Lagrangian decompositions.
2. Grassmannians: differentiable structure, the tangent space to a Grassmannian, Grassmannian as a homogeneous space, the Lagrangian Grassmannian.
3. Maslov index: curves of symmetric bilinear forms , evolution of the index. Definition of the Maslov index via fundamental groupoids. Kato's selection theorem and partial signatures.
4. Maslov index and semi-Riemannian geodesics.
