Former Ph.D. students

María José MARTÍN-GÓMEZ, defended her doctoral thesis titled "Composition operators and geometric function theory" at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid on December 16, 2005. After obtaining her Ph.D. degree, she was an Assistant Professor at UAM, a Fulbright-MEC Fellow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Senior Researcher at the University of Eastern Finland at Joensuu, an "Intertalentum/Marie-Curie" Fellow at UAM, and a "Viera and Clavijo" Fellow at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife. Iason EFRAIMIDIS (M.Sci.: Aristotle University at Thessaloniki, Greece 2011, under Prof. D. Betsakos) defended his thesis titled "Coefficient problems in geometric function theory) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid on June 16, 2017. Affter obtaining his degree, he was a Posdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago de Chile, a Postdoc at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, USA, and a "María Zambrano" Posdoctoral Fellow at UAM. Irina ARÉVALO BARCO (M.Sci.: UAM, Madrid, January of 2012) defended her thesis titled "Weighted composition operators on spaces and classes of analytic functions" at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid on September 15, 2017. She has worked at various companies in the areas of Financial Mathematics and Data Science and is now an Assistant Professor of Cuantiative Methods at CUNEF University, Madrid, working on Artificial Intelligence (AI).                    Website

Alejandro MAS MAS (M. Sci.: UAM, Madrid, September of 2016) defended his doctoral thesis titled "Weighted compositin operators and weighted conformal invariance" on July 27, 2021 at UAM. After some further time spent as a Teaching Assistant at UAM, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Málaga and the University Seville, Spain. He is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Valencia.                        Department link

Adrián LLINARES ROMERO (M. Sci.: UAM, Madrid, September of 2017) defended his thesis titled "Extremal problems in spaces of analytic functions" on April 7, 2022. He was first an ERCIM Postdoctoral Fellow funded by the "Allain Bensoussan Program" at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway and then a Kempe Foundation Postdoctoral researcher in Mathematical Analysis at Umeå University, Sweden. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.                    Department link
