Admission to the PH.D. program Print E-mail

Students looking to be admitted to the Ph.D. program are required to have accomplished an equivalent training to that provided by the Master Program in Mathematics and Applications. The admission process takes two steps:

  1. Formal application to enter into the program
  2. Registration of the thesis proposal

Exceptionally to facilitate the application for fellowships to certain institutions,  candidates  can be admitted provisionally by the Department of Mathematics.   1. A full academic profile of both the candidates degree and master's degree.
  2. A letter from a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics who would be willing to supervise the Ph.D. thesis of the candidate.
  3. A letter of recommendation from a a University Professor who knows the candidate, describing his/her capacity to engage in a doctoral program in mathematics
