Título:  "An Elementary Introduction to the Homological Conjectures"

Resumen:

The homological conjectures form a collection of conjectures and theorems that have been studied since the 1960s. Early progress has been achieved in the equal-characteristic case. Moreover, many relations between the conjectures have been established. This talk will serve as an elementary introduction to a selection of these conjectures. We will focus on the Direct Summand Conjecture which plays a central role due to its many relations with other homological conjectures. We will restrict to the equal characteristic case which was first established by M.

Hochster in 1973.
