Title: On p-adic analogs of the Corlette-Simpson correspondence

ABSTRACT: The classical Corlette-Simpson correspondence relates representations of the fundamental group of a compact Kähler manifold to certain Higgs bundles. We explain how an analog of this correspondence might look like for proper, smooth varieties over p-adic fields, and discuss some known results. In particular, we show a Corlette-Simpson correspondence on abelian varieties, using tools from perfectoid geometry.
