Seminars

This Seminar holds conferences related to Analysis in general and its applications. Recent results are presented as well as results from other areas in which Analysis plays a relevant role.
It is been held since 1987, been initially the Analysis Seminar of the Mathematics Department of UAM and since 2008 a joint Seminar with the Institute for Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT).
It takes place, usually, on Fridays at 11:30 in room 520 of the Mathematics Department or in the Orange Room in the ICMAT.

The Group Theory Seminar UAM-ICMAT is a weakly seminar about group theory in a broad sense. The seminar talks will be devoted to recent advances in group theory, as well as results in which group theory and its interactions with other areas play a key role. Reflecting the diversity of interests of the members of the group, the seminar hosts talks related to any topic in arithmetic geometry or algebraic, analytic or combinatorial number theory.

The Applied Mathematics Seminar(UAM - ICMAT) ranges, from a mathematical approach, multidisciplinary, industrial and technological problems with emphasis on equations, numerical computation, modeling or applications in differents areas such as engineering, biology, chemistry, physics or Earth sciences.
